Teakdecking Systems is the original & premier manufacturer of pre-assembled, custom teak decks and interior floors for yachts and ships. For over 25 years, our patented system has allowed us to produce complete decks and interior floors (including attached margin trim) in pre-assembled panels.  Exterior decks of all sizes can be built with either straight planks or planks curved to match the outboard edge of the deck of the yacht. Our craftsmen have also created exotic custom interior floors for many of the world’s top interior designers.

The TDS panel system eliminates the need to tediously hand lay a teak deck plank by plank, significantly speeding up the installation of a new or replacement deck. For builders, this means that the highly skilled labor that would be occupied with laying the deck can be assigned to other, more productive tasks.  For the owner of the vessel having its deck replaced or newly installed, it means that the vessel will be out of service for a much shorter period of time.

We use only the highest quality, hand selected vertical grain teak in the construction of our decks. Panels can be built with almost any thickness of teak, although we recommend a minimum thickness of ½” (13mm).  Our adhesives used in bonding the panels to the sub-deck permit a major reduction (or even elimination) of mechanical fasteners, while also helping to prevent deck leaks. TDS’ "full depth" caulk seams provide a significant increase in the teak deck's usable life. This unique feature not only represents savings to the customer, but also conserves teak - a valuable resource. TDS SIS440 caulking and our FE-180A epoxy adhesive are both  recognized by many in the marine industry as being the best available materials for teak deck applications.
