Founded in 2002, the formerly named Crew Insurance Services has expanded their product portfolio to include Yacht Insurance (Hull, P&I,) in addition to offering Crew Medical Insurance for groups and individuals. “The company name has been updated to incorporate the offerings of yacht policies (Hull, P&I),” says Maria Karlsson, President and Founder of Superyacht Insurance Group (SYIG).

Superyacht Insurance Group (SYIG) is furthermore delighted to announce that Captain Stephen Rodda has joined the “One-Stop” Insurance Boutique, as its European PR Consultant and Technical Support Person. “With more than 30 years of experience running ferries and ships worldwide, whereof 20 years spent running yachts and building a total of 4 mega yachts, Captain Stephen has added tremendous value and expertise in the area of yachting”, says Maria Karlsson.

Superyacht Insurance Group (SYIG) has a new office location directly off of the Middle River in Fort Lauderdale, with various yachts and mega yachts on the docks. The address is: 840 NE 20th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304. The office has a casual and relaxed atmosphere, wherein owners, captains and crew will feel comfortable stopping by for a coffee or a drink, while discussing their insurance needs and options in a non-pressured setting. Maria is always happy to meet with owners, captains and crew to provide insurance information, to review an existing policy, or to initiate new coverage. “I enjoy visiting the yachts, talking to the captain and crew and assist them with the insurance, that’s the fun part of my job!” says Maria.
