You may have seen it in the press today and I've been keenly following progress since the news broke last week. Was it true ? One of the world's largest SuperYachts on the Clyde, and then the West Coast of Scotland ?

I grew up on the banks of the Clyde, my father worked for the world famous John Brown Shipbuilders. I've seen the Erskine Ferry being replaced by the expansive Erskine Bridge. I've seen the QE2 pass by while I watched from a bedroom window. I've sailed through the Kyles Of Bute, and cycled around the Isle of Cumbrae. I've even had many a dram of that famous Islay water. Still don't know what they put it in, but it packs a punch.

Over the last week, I've been following the story that Roman Abramovich, had taken a few friends on board ECLIPSE which was photographed on the Clyde.  Was he going to buy Glasgow Rangers was the gossip online.  Then he started to sail around the West Coast, and visit all the wonderful west coast islands.

If you haven't been, it's time to get there. If a billionaire chooses it for a break, when he can go anywhere in the world, then it has to be good. See you in Scotland this summer.

Oh, and if you're looking for a Super Yacht, you know who to contact.
