Adela was welcomed to Pendennis in August as she returned for a refit 20 years after she was rebuilt at the yard. This will be the fourth time that this beautiful steel schooner has visited Pendennis having undergone a detailed rebuild to her original W.C.Storey design during her initial visit in 1996.
A highly competitive racing yacht, Adela has twice graced the Pendennis Cup fleet, winning the event overall in 2010. Since then she has become a contender for the major superyacht racing titles with victories in the St Barths Bucket, RORC Caribbean 600, Antigua Superyacht Challenge and the America’s Cup Superyacht Regatta over the past five years.
Adela joins the 46m Feadship Constance (ex. Jana) and an 85.6m motor yacht both of which commenced refits earlier this year. With Adix and Lionheart arriving in September for short works the winter refit season at Pendennis is set to be busy once more.
