Wednesday 4th – Saturday 7th May 2016, St Katharine Docks, London

A new name and new brand for the on-water element of London Yacht, Jet & Prestige Car Show

For immediate release:

Due to its popularity with visitors and exhibitors last year, the St Katharine Docks on-water element of the London Yacht, Jet & Prestige Car Show becomes an even larger, stand-alone show for 2016. Supported by YachtWorld.com and named ‘The London On-Water Yacht & Boat Show’, the event has already attracted many of the leading marques of luxury sail and power boats which will be displayed in the Central Basin of St Katharine Docks. An entirely new section of the show will be located in the adjoining West Basin and will display the best in luxury brokerage craft from many of the UK’s top yacht brokers.

Event Director Peter Bryant outlined the rationale of the change, commenting: “Last year’s show received such a lot of positive attention that it became clear that the St Katharine Docks On-Water Exhibition could be opened up to an even wider audience as a stand-alone show. Our London Yacht, Jet and Prestige Car show at nearby Old Billingsgate continues to grow and complimentary transportation for all visitors will be provided between the two locations during the three days of May 4th -6th when both shows are open; the London On-Water Show will also be open on Saturday 7th May at St Katharine Docks.

"While there is a commonality of audiences interested in buying luxury products and thus visiting both of our shows, we felt that exhibitors and visitors required separate and dedicated marketing and messaging. We will be marketing both events through top London hotels, member clubs, yacht clubs, over 60 media partners and city financial institutions to attract the appropriate audience.”

The decision to expand has been welcomed by the top line exhibitors, with several choosing the show to premier new boats for 2016 such as the extraordinary Glider SS18 and the superb Discovery 58. Other major UK luxury yachting brands, such as Sunseeker, Princess, Fairline, Gunfleet and Spirit among others, are supporting and displaying yachts at the London On-Water Yacht & Boat Show, showing British craftsmanship at its finest.

The show will be twice the size this year with the new boats afloat in the Central Basin, plus a wide range of high quality brokerage boats berthed in the adjoining West Basin. Luxury tenders and ribs will be seen ashore on Marble Quay, together with the stunning Tesla electric supercar. Surrounding the dockside is a wide range of restaurants and bars which overlook the yachts, creating a festival atmosphere in this important central London location.
