MasterCraft Boats UK has announced an extension of its NXT line with the launch of the new NXT20 Global Edition, the Company’s first outboard towboat for over 20 years.

The NXT20 Global Edition comes with a 175 horsepower Mercury Verado outboard engine as standard, with the option to upgrade to a 225 horsepower model. Both allow crew to easily trim the engine and safely beach the boat. The NXT20 Global Edition is now available as a superyacht tender where it can be customised to match owners’ requirements with a number of bespoke options. It is particularly suitable for coastal areas where shallow waters mean an outboard configuration may be a preferred option.

‘In our superyacht tenders division we offer a custom install to a Yanmar inboard diesel for several models in the range and work closely with owners and captains to match the perfect watersports tender to their requirements,’ said Michael Hardicker, MD of MasterCraft Boats UK. ‘We understand that some customers prefer an outboard engine and it’s been great to partner with Mercury Marine to offer a Verado outboard option. Known for its low noise and vibration, low fuel consumption and supercharged power and torque, the Mercury Verado is a perfect fit for MasterCraft. Having an outboard version just adds to the options available,’he said.

Taking advantage of MasterCraft’s award-winning boat designs, the NXT20 Global Edition offers an innovative crossover hull, ensuring powerful, responsive handling while still being able to sculpt perfectly shaped wakes. It has MasterCraft’s signature pickle-fork bow and boasts a stylish exterior capped off with a modified deck. The standard interior offers durable, puncture resistant vinyl seats, premium billet aluminium finishes and comfortable cabin carpeting. The outboard engine allows for expanded aft seating making for an extremely spacious lounge capable of accommodating up to 12 people.
