This weekend was held APD’s Ist Sailing Regatta, and Marina Ibiza played hostess welcoming the 7 sailing yachts coming from Mallorca.

The Association for Progress in Management, non-profit entity headed by Sebastián Escarrer, organized one of its activities, this time at sea. The crossing from Mallorca to Ibiza was atended by businessmen and sea fans which enjoyed a weekend full of activities with their Yachts.

Marina Ibiza was the hostess of the arrival of the 7 sailing yachts which departed from Mallorca last Friday 19th of May. At 9am began the activity in Mallorca with a skippers meeting and a breakfast symposium based in motivation and teamwork. Along with the briefing for skippers, was held a motivational talk directed by Jacobo Parages, one of the 8 people in the world which, despite his rare, chronicle and painful back disease, has achieved to cross swimming from Mallorca to Menorca.

With this motivation example, the 7 vessels set sails to Ibiza arriving at the end of the day to Marina Ibiza and enjoy a well deserved dinner at Calma Restaurant.

It was a pleasant and relaxed regatta in which Marina Ibiza participated actively on board of Eleutheria, competing with the winner XP, and Silsila, Ontop, Sila, Sargas II and Buen Vino Tinto.

On the following day, already recovered from the intense activity of the regatta, was held a cocktail at Calma Restaurant in Marina Ibiza to comment on the previous cruising day and take a few pictures of the teams with unique views of Dalt Vila, Ibiza’s Old Town.

After this reception at Marina Ibiza, APD held a motivational conference and the prize giving ceremony at Hard Rock Hotel with a cocktail in Ushuaia Tower as a farewell of this intensive weekend. Marcos Marí, CEO of Marina Ibiza, presented a trophy of the regatta in this event.

The Association for Progress in Management (APD) was created in 1956 with the aim of collaborating in business growth through the development of its managers.
