At Monaco Yacht Show, Viking ‘a Family of Companies’ announced that industry professional Ken Hickling is joining the family as Non-Executive Director.

“After 21 years in the corporate world with the world #1 paint manufacturer Akzo Nobel, it is a refreshing change to step into such a close knit operation as Viking,” says Ken Hickling.

Company Director and second-generation shareholder Mark Jaenicke commented, “We are delighted to have Ken working with us. His experience, especially with the International Superyacht Society, will be invaluable as we take our companies to the next level.”

Ken Hickling will have a dual role in developing the internal capabilities of the companies, now stronger than ever with the opening of the Marine Survival Complex, as well as stepping into a company ambassador role alongside Dieter Jaenicke, Chairman & Founder.

Managing Director Matthew Jaenicke added, “Having a fresh pair of eyes to look at how we do things will enable us to find new ways to deliver an even stronger value of services as we work to take the complications out of crew administration and training for our clients.”

Viking ‘a Family of Companies’ is a UK registered limited company based in Dover, Kent. The family specialises in the administration and management of crew, including MCA certified training and Cadetship management services.
