Abacus Aviation will be attending the 6th annual Isle of Man Aviation Conference on Thursday 23 June 2016, with the aim to promote the benefits of using the Isle of Man over other aviation jurisdictions for the purpose of aircraft ownership and registration.

The Isle of Man Aviation Conference is a must-attend for all business aviation industry professionals directly involved in the operation, regulation, financing and ownership of global business jets, and a show case for the Isle of Man Aircraft Registry and related services.

The conference, organised by ICM Aviation and supported by the Isle of Man Aircraft Registry, will take place at the Villa Marina in Douglas. The topics will cover registration and regulation in the business jet industry and will look at business jet finance and tax.

Representing Abacus Aviation at the event, John-Michael McCann holds valuable experience in private aircraft transactions and their holding structures and has a keen interest in the aviation industry as a whole. Second delegate, Stephen Colderwood has worked in financial services for more than 25 years and is responsible for business development.

Commenting on the upcoming event, Stephen Colderwood said: “There are still a number of fiscal issues that impact aircraft ownership, registration and operation. The Isle of Man is one of the top jurisdictions in the Industry with its Aircraft Register having experienced continued growth and success since its opening in 2007.

“A versatile jurisdiction and a place that affords importation, ownership and registration, the Island can potentially offer a number of benefits to aircraft owners. I think that this year’s conference will yet again be a great platform for networking with a range of attendees with whom we can discuss these benefits and to provide them with information on Abacus’ full range of aircraft ownership services.”

This year’s conference has been well supported with a wide range of international companies already confirming their participation and attendance as well as high profile speakers and delegates from all over the world. The event aims to provide industry updates and will enable invaluable networking opportunities for its wide range of delegates including informal events and post-conference reception.
