Fun day at Marina Ibiza celebrating Marina Day < Back

Marina Ibiza organised an attractive programme of activities to celebrate Marina Day, a day commemorated internationally with the aim of bringing the general people closer to the nautical world, and to let them know  first hand how a marina works. In addition they created awareness regarding the importance of taking care of the sea and all marine life.

For this reason, the marina held several activities throughouth the day, for the public, with information about posidonia grass and seahorses, complemented also with the visit to the new aquarius of Marina Ibiza, dedicated to the captive breeding of seahorses. The children could also enjoy a boat trip towards Talamanca to dive and find seahorses.

Likewise the second edition of Marina Ibiza’s children’s regatta was held with a high participation rate, jointly organized by Marina ibiza and Club Náutico de Ibiza. Participants in the competition, the  future generation of sailors were able to race at the entrance of the port to the enjoyment of their families and friends, and then recover their energy after the prize giving with a lunch on the terrace of the Restaurant del Calma.

For this day, Marina Ibiza also organised an exhibition and testing of several nautical toys, for the most daring, and an art exhibition of Podencos -Ibizan dogs-, together with live painting enjoying an Ibizan wine tasting in the same terrace of Calma and a very relaxed athmosphere with Dalt Vila in the background.
