Luxury superyacht marina Porto Mirabello is the home port for legendary fashion designer Giorgio Armani and his 65 metre MY Main which returned to the port this month, and is currently enjoying the hospitality provided by their 7* team. It is also a popular base for the typically transient MY Grace E who extended their stay several times in 2016, and has also returned this month to enjoy the prime location and extensive megayacht services in 2017.
Motor Yacht Main was built by Codecasa in 2008. Mr Armarni designed the elegant megayacht to meet his every need, and purchased a 65 metre berth at Porto Mirabello following his visit to the marina, which is just 22 nautical miles from Codecasa’s Viareggio shipyard. The marina also enjoys close proximity to Idyllic Porto Venere (2NM), high-fashion destination Forte Dei Marmi (48 NM), Monaco (90NM) and Porto Fino (88NM). The excellent levels of security on the recently upgraded Megayacht Quay give high profile owners piece of mind, and they enjoy the calm weather conditions in the sheltered haven of the Gulf of La Spezia, protected by the Tino and Palmaria islands, and a 620 metre breakwater.

In July 2016 MY Grace E visited Porto Mirabello for a planned one-day stop. The owner, Captain and crew were so impressed with the services provided by the multilingual concierge and technical teams, they extended their stay by several days to enjoy some of the local activities. Porto Mirabello is just a few minutes from Tuscany and it is possible to play almost any sport and take on any challenge, whilst surrounded by the beauty of Cinque Terre, a UNESCO world heritage site.
The Concierge are at your disposal and can organise trekking, rafting, kayaking, canoeing or even paint balling, or book a guide who will take you river trekking, or horse riding. There is also a supercar track and an 18 hole golf course close by with views of the ocean.
MY Grace E returned in September for several days to relax in the stylish Italian marina, enjoying exquisite local food and drinks and refuelling before setting off once more. At the end of the season she returned once again for an extensive stay during October and November to have some maintenance work completed in the Porto Mirabello shipyard.
