The magical sounds of the didgeridoo and aboriginal song will be heard for the first time at Monaco Yacht show from the 27th to the 30th of September 2017.

This year the Superyacht Group Great Barrier Reef (SYGGBR), based in Cairns, Australia, has been given the amazing opportunity to be a sponsor at the Mediterranean Yacht Broker Association (MYBA) inaugural “Around the World in One Evening” event held on the first night of The Monaco Yacht Show. The event showcases unique destinations, food, wines, music and fashions and will be held on board an amazing superyacht – the luxury 77m Motor Yacht Legend.

We are extremely fortunate to have secured such talented Australian entertainers as Witiyana and his son, Yirrmal of the Riirritjingu clan, connected with the famous Yothu Yindi band” says SYGGBR Chair Carrie Carter. “Not only will they be performing at the MYBA event, they will also entertain the visitors on the first morning of the Monaco Yacht Show at the Tourism Australia stand as well as the Australia Breakfast Forum hosted by Superyacht Australia on the 3rd morning of the show.”

Monaco is the largest and most prestigious Superyacht Show in the world with over 160 yachts over 30m on display and many more at anchor off the picturesque Port Hercule. SYGGBR attends this show annually to promote Cairns, The Perfect Home Port, to this niche Superyacht Market. Our mission is to entice Superyacht owners and their magnificent yachts to explore the diversity and sophistication of the Asia Pacific and South Pacific island nations, aiming to explore and base themselves in Queensland, Australia. We will also be sharing the big news of the 21 new anchorages now available to Superyachts in the pristine Whitsunday Island Group, one of the Great Barrier Reef’s major drawcards.

With the Cairns Marlin Marina currently experiencing full capacity and promising forward bookings for 2018, Cairns Australia is fast becoming the place to be.

SYGGBR would like to thank our major sponsors and members including the Cairns Regional Council, Ports North, Abell Point Marina, State Development, Superyacht Australia, BSE Cairns Slipways and Norship Marine for making this sponsorship opportunity a reality.
