Last Saturday the Pinmar international golf tournament held at Son Gual Golf Course in Mallorca drew to a close.  Every year this event is organized by Pinmar, and this year STP Shipyard Palma and Varadero Valencia participated in a two fold way, by being both a sponsor and entering  two teams to play in the the competition.

This tournament, held on the 19th and 20th of October has always been,a mainstay of the Superyacht social calendar and proof of this is that almost 400 players were part of the competition representing yachts or companies.

For this reason, and for the first time, the IPM Group shipyards wanted to be present with the STP Shipyard Palma and Varadero Valencia golf teams, which were formed by a representative of each company and three friendly captains who were invited by each shipyard.

With the arrival of the marshalls at STP Shipyard Palma this edition of The Pinmar Golf Tournament was launched. On the occasion of its tenth anniversary, STP together with Varadero Valencia, another of the companies of the IPM Group, decided to sponsor the already famous Captain's Briefing. This is where players make their registration and collect the documentation and goodies that Pinmar has prepared for each Player. Amongst which were golf balls, tees, pencils and personalized notebooks, donated by STP.

For the first time, the Captain's Briefing was held at the Dock Bar inside the facilities of STP Shipyard Palma, which was of great interest to those who had never visited the yard beforehand. With a cocktail and free bar, began the presentation of the tournament by Nick Entwisle.

The second day of Captain's Briefing, with the same presence of STP and Varadero Valencia as sponsors, coincided with the first day of play at the Son Gual golf course. Although the day did not dawn very sunny, little by little the clouds were clearing and gave way to a fun day because, thanks to the great work of the Pinmar team, the social area of the golf course was a good place to meet and exchange anecdotes.

After two intense days of play, the teams from STP and Varadero Valencia prepared to attend the awards ceremony and a spectacular gala dinner. On this occasion, STP also wanted to participate by contributing a prize, specifically the trophy for the category "Best non Yacht Gross" that was awarded to the team of David Store Navigational Management LTD.

It is worth mentioning the charitable approach that the organization gives to this tournament and the great effort and enthusiasm with which the Pinmar team, who regularly takes part in the event, is made up of Nick Entwisle, Eva Grauls and Emma Conway. We thank and congratulate them on everyone’s behalf.
