  • Equipped for every super yacht tender task and therefore ideally suited as sole tender

  • Many bespoke owner and guest oriented amenities included in the design

Hoorn, The Netherlands, April 30, 2018
X-Craft, the custom yacht tender manufacturer from The Netherlands, today announced the delivery of the first build of their all-new multi-purpose beachlander tender. A tailor made yacht tender developed to act as a sole tender and equipped to suit every need from both the youngest guests and the most experienced yacht owners. This new Van Geest Design designed 7.5 meter addition to the X-Craft fleet be tailored extensively to suit the owner’s taste and requirements. With a maximum beam of 2.48 meter and the low profile she will fit most tender garages with ease while still offering all services expected from a full-on super yacht tender.

With beach landings a self-supporting fold out bow step is deployed, allowing the guests to keep their feet dry when they’re entering or exiting the tender. The in-house developed system can be operated easily by one crew member, either manually or with the optional electrical deployment. The design prohibits the fold out section to touch the beach, so no sand can get in the system.

During ship-to-shore transfers boarding and disembarking is made safe and easy with the sturdy boarding stairs and railing on starboard side. Thanks to the use of a durable D-shaped foam-filled fender instead of a more space consuming air-filled round tube, a maximum of 12 guests therefore has plenty of room to move around comfortably on board. Further comfort is offered by the excellent handling capabilities, the dry ride from the tender’s hull shape and the spacious seating arrangement.

Crew will love the tender for its versatility. All cushions are removable thus, combined with the ample deck space, offering an ideal platform for provision runs and cleaning operations on the mother vessel. The customizable portside helm station has a very good ergonomics setup and makes controlling the tender and its functions as easy as pie. The leaning bolster also features as a storage compartment for fenders and mooring lines, so crew don’t have to disturb guests during docking proceedings.

The tender is equipped with a 260 horsepower inboard diesel engine, which can either propel the X-Craft to its 43 knots top speed or deliver ample thrust for waterskiing and wakeboarding. For maximum safety and fun a special function on the engine panel enables the driver to pre-set acceleration and cruise speed according to each individual person and type of watersports.

Owner and guests will gladly use the tender for day trips or exploring those beautiful coast line areas less accessible to the mother vessel. Sunshade is provided by the removable bimini top and refreshments are coming from the custom built-in refrigerator inside the starboard boarding stairs. A state of the art audio system further adds to the atmosphere and phones can be charged at multiple charging points with storage space for other valuables underneath the steering console. Further storage is provided in the U-shaped seating on the foredeck.

Another compelling aspect to be much appreciated by both crew and owners is the punctuality X-Craft holds in high regard. All tenders are, like this one, delivered within budget and without any delays on the contractual delivery date. From an operational standpoint there is also the excellent reliability which

X-Craft has become known for. The well-arranged spacious engine room and neatly finished electrics installation area makes working with the tender very easy and uncomplicated. The attention to detail and the X-Craft level of finishing is a pleasure to look at and reduces the amount of faults to an absolute minimum. And when something does require assistance X-Craft offers an excellent aftersales service to unburden the crew as much as possible.
