The Pinmar Golf’s 30th anniversary edition is fast approaching with around 300 golfers and 750 VIP guests from around the globe shortly descending on Mallorca.  With a packed social calendar surrounding charitable events on the fairways, one of the highlights is the Jotun Recovery Brunch - back for a second year by popular demand.

With the exclusive Friday Night Pearl Party holding court at Cappuccino in Puerto Portals, Jotun is taking its recovery brunch to nearby Wellies.  One of the Port’s original eateries, which underwent a stylish makeover in 2016, it’s the ideal waterfront venue for nursing weary post-Party feet and heads back to top form.

“We were very pleased with last year’s event at Real Club Náutico Palma,” says Marcus Reynolds, Global Marketing Manager ‘Yachting’ for Jotun.  “Such a great venue overlooking the harbour with a relaxed ambience, some fantastic food and cocktails, and Cuban music setting the desired tone.  This year, we are expecting the same ambience at Wellies, albeit with a changed musical vibe to the enchanting Zone Sisters.”

“Wellies has remained synonymous with the yachting industry for many years.  Since its recent revival by relatively new owners, this has only strengthened its position as one of the most frequented and admired restaurants on the island.  It’s the ideal setting for this very nice casual networking event with friends, captains, officers and many influential yachting industry stakeholders - along with a splash of Jotun Penguins.”

Jotun has been a major supporter of The Pinmar Golf for a number of years and expectations for this 30th celebration are high.  “It’s going to be a great honour to again be condor sponsor of this internationally-recognised charity event,” enthuses Marcus.  “The Pinmar Golf is one of the biggest occasions in the superyacht calendar which signifies yet another closure of a Mediterranean summer season.  It’s amazing to think how much money has been raised for good causes – hopefully surpassing the million euro mark in 2018.  We are very pleased to be part of this three-day charity golfing event and are proud to see the results and good deeds it generates.”

The Pinmar Golf Charity Fund has always supported a raft of charities, some local to Pinmar’s Mallorca base, others focused on the superyacht sector and, more recently, adding Blue Marine Foundation who address the environmental issues that challenge our industry.

“As a company, we also have a local commitment to several humanitarian organisations alongside a global commitment to larger global organisations such as the International Committee of the Red Cross, Transparency International and United Nations Global Compact.  It’s vital that we play an important and responsible role in the societies in which we are established.”
