Today Pinmar announces the appointment of Derik Wagner to spearhead its growth plans in the USA. Industry veteran Derik joins as Executive Director responsible for leading the US management team and driving the strategic development of the business in North America and the Caribbean.

Derik brings more than 20 years of global sales, business development and management experience, most recognized in the satellite and superyacht industries for his previous role as Managing Director of MTN’s Yacht Service business where he led the company to the top of their game achieving recognition as the preferred supplier of global managed VSAT services for the superyacht industry. Derik is exceptionally well connected in the global Superyacht industry; he was Past President of the International Superyacht Society (ISS) from 2015-17, has served multiple board terms and is a founding member of the U.S. Superyacht Association (USSA) as well as a former Anchor Member of the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF).

Upon taking up his new role Derik said, “I am delighted to be joining Pinmar and eager to start implementing the ambitious development strategy for the USA. Derik will be responsible for Pinmar’s business operations in the USA taking over from Peter Brown. Peter will remain as Managing Director of Pinmar USA Inc. during the handover process and thereafter will continue to oversee the USA business ensuring greater synergy between US and European operations. Current general manager Phil Burgess will take on a new role as Director of sales and business development. Operating out of Pinmar’s new USA headquarters in Rybovich West Palm Beach, Derik will be looking to expand the company’s services with its existing partners and across the north American superyacht market.
