Beautifully illuminating the harbour at Vlissingen, Dutch yacht builder Amels currently has no less than nine luxury yachts at its yard. At the largest superyacht facility in the Netherlands, the six new builds and three refit projects range from 49m to 65.5m.
Amels CEO Rob Luijendijk said that, “particularly during the current high level of activity at the yard – with up to 600 designers, engineers and craftsmen at work – we’re proud that each of these individual projects is on track for on-time delivery. That’s our promise to each owner. They know they can make plans for the summer and Amels will deliver their yacht on schedule and perfectly tailored to their wishes.”
After a busy winter at the yard, several yachts recently left drydock for final preparations before delivery. In addition to the three refit projects, Amels currently has a total of 12 new build Limited Editions yachts in the 55m to 83m range in the engineering and build process. Of these modern superyachts, the 83m Amels 272 will be the largest Amels yacht ever. With an average growth in annual turnover of 10 per cent since 2007, Amels has seen its Limited Editions concept go from strength to strength, with all projects delivered on or ahead of schedule.
