The 6th annual Isle of Man Aviation Conference took place at the Isle of Man’s prestigious Villa Marina on Thursday 23 June 2016. The conference was attended by approximately 140 aviation professionals from the Isle of Man, UK, Europe, USA and Russia.
The attendees enjoyed a day of lively debate and talks on such topics as; an update on the Isle of Man Aircraft Registry, VAT and Customs issues, ownership solutions using the Isle of Man, Part NCC and Regulation.
Trust Manager, John-Michael McCann and Business Development Manager, Stephen Colderwood attended the conference on behalf of Abacus Aviation, which was sandwiched between two evening networking opportunities and an additional networking opportunity the following day. The event is well structured and a must attend to hear about the latest topical issues within the industry and to meet with other aviation professionals from around the world.
The Isle of Man Aviation Registry is the largest dedicated corporate aircraft register in Europe and is renowned for its high regulatory standards and customer service levels. Since its establishment in 2007 the registry has enabled the Island’s aviation industry to develop and expand with a sound backbone, the conference having successfully completed its 6th year demonstrates this admirably.
