The highlight of this competition was that, as last year in the first edition, the regatta took place at the entrance of the port of Marina Ibiza so that family and friends could follow the manoeuvres of the children and encourage them from land.
The Optimist and Laser 4.7 classes were the ones that presented the most rivalry, although no less competitive were the sub13 and sub11 classes. However, the spirit and atmosphere in the regatta was that of fun and camaraderie among all the participants.
Once all the competitions were carried out, Calma Restaurant welcomed all the participants with a big lunch to recover their energy and give way to the awards ceremony.
The champions of this edition were:
Optimist Class:
1º Joan Mateu Vilas
2º Roque García
3º Alexandre Menage
Sub13 Class:
Maura Ramón
Sub11 Class:
Didac Serra
Láser 4.7 Class:
Marta López
Given the success of the event and the expectation that has been generated , in this competition in its second consecutive year, the third edition is already planned for 2018. This is a good excuse for children interested in participating, and why not, in learning to sail, to go to Club Náutico de Ibiza to find out more information. They have a whole year to learn, train and aim for the first place in the results.
Congratulations to all the winners and all the participants of the race!
