Nautipaints will now have a new permanent technical base for refinishing superyachts in the Varador 2000 shipyard.

Nautipaints and Varador 2000 have signed an industrial collaboration agreement meaning Nautipaints, the prestigious Mallorcan company which specialises in painting superyachts will establish a new technical base at the Varador 2000 shipyard in Arenys de Mar (Barcelona). The agreement has been signed by the two CEOs: Toni Salom from Nautipaints and Xiqui Mas from Varador 2000.

The two extremely successful companies have followed parallel trajectories in the Spanish nautical sector over the last decades. Both businesses have evolved in their second generation to specialise in activity niches that have been generated by the demands of the sector itself. The confluence of professional interests has led to these two innovative companies sharing workspaces, equipment, activities and now, future goals.

Nautipaints is a pioneering company originating from the Balearic Islands. Founded in 1971 by Miguel Salom Senior (under the name of Nauti-Pesca Can Miquel), the business was taken over in 1991 by his son Toni Salom. In 1997 Toni created the superyacht painting division and over the past two decades, it has developed it into a leading company in this segment of activity nationally and internationally.

Currently, Nautipaints specialises in the work related to the painting and maintenance of superyachts and megayachts. It also performs interior and exterior varnishes, polished with nanotechnology, as well as antifouling and tank painting, among others. Nautipaints is a painting services company that meets all the needs of superyachts finishes. The company also has two naval accessories stores (where its origins lie) and sale of paintings in Palma and another in Barcelona.

Varador 2000, with 35 years of experience in the professional nautical world, manages a shipyard in the port of Arenys de Mar which specialises in the integral repair and refit of all types of boats and lengths, both sail and motor. Lead by Xiqui Mas, who took over the reins of the sports nautical company founded by his father Lluís Mas in 1969, Nautica Esplai, the company changed its activity and in 1992 took on the management of the port's boathouse, which was extended to 10,000 m² in 2003.

Recently, Varador 2000 has expanded its technical esplanade by another 2,500 m², with new beached spaces and further specialised workshops. The company also manages the nautical base for superyachts at Mataró Marina Barcelona in the port of Mataró and has a satellite set up in Palma (Mallorca). Thanks to these powerful infrastructures, Varador 2000 offers its customers a global service in the Mediterranean with an unsurpassed guarantee: experience, commitment, service, innovation and quality.

The two companies will offer more details about the scope of their collaboration soon, within the framework of the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). On September 25, the first day of the event, starting at 17.00, representatives of the two companies will welcome customers and visitors at the Varador 2000 stand (AL4 of the Tent Albert Ier closed exhibition tent).
