GYG plc is pleased to announce that it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with ALTRAD plettac assco GmbH to distribute their specialised scaffolding equipment in the USA. 

This agreement greatly benefits GYG’s scaffolding brand, Technocraft, who pioneered the development of yacht scaffold and containment systems within the industry in Europe, with their plans for expansion into the US.

The ALTRAD plettac assco GmbH range of products are of the highest European quality and comply with all the required health and safety regulations, having been granted several European licenses. The versatility and reliability of their system allows the scaffold to be adapted to the most unique yacht constructions and layouts, essential for creating a secure containment environment around a superyacht for refit works.

The advanced modular construction technique allows for the entire scaffold structure to be hung from the yacht itself, removing the dependency on floating raft bases when conducting an in-water refit, which in turn allows for much larger yachts to be repainted in the water.

GYG’s initial focus to distribute ALTRAD plettac assco GmbH products will be in the Southeast of the US where it is currently operating in many of the leading refit shipyards. This agreement comes at the perfect time to complement the new partnership forming between Technocraft and US-based Southern Cross Boat Works, who Pinmar have worked with and trusted for many years to provide scaffolding services in some of the largest shipyards in the US such as Rybovich, Derecktor and Savannah Yacht Center.
