Since the grand finale of The Pinmar Golf in 2019, several industry golf events have successfully established themselves, enriching the superyacht industry’s social calendar. While Pinmar remains proud of the legacy built over three decades of their tournament, the company recognises the risk of oversaturating the event landscape, which could inadvertently dilute the unique value each event
brings to the superyacht community, sponsors and beneficiaries.
Remy Millott, CEO of Pinmar’s parent company GYG Ltd, explains “After enjoying some of the incredible golf experiences available across the industry last year, it became clear that reintroducing The Pinmar Golf into the mix could affect the enthusiasm and momentum of tournaments that have firmly established themselves in the calendar. These events seamlessly took on the mantle of catering to the superyacht industry and associated charities at an extremely high level.”
Instead of reintroducing its own tournament, Pinmar will continue to support the ongoing success of these newly established events through strategic sponsorship. This approach reaffirms Pinmar’s commitment to charitable fundraising and fostering meaningful networking opportunities within the superyacht community.
Remy continues, “We’re proud to be sponsoring several of the leading industry golf tournaments and have become an Event Partner of the exclusive BOAT International & Voly Group Invitational held at the impressive Camiral Golf & Wellness resort in Barcelona. We believe this decision best aligns
with our goal to strengthen industry collaboration and ensure the lasting impact of social and charitable initiatives.”
This year marks a significant milestone for Pinmar as the company celebrates 50 years in business. This achievement is a testament to the hard work, professionalism and determination of the leadership team and the entire workforce across all departments around the globe. To honour this momentous occasion, Pinmar will host a special 50th anniversary celebration for its dedicated team
later this year, bringing together over 400 staff from across Europe and the USA to commemorate the shared success and look forward to an even brighter future together.
“It is vital to acknowledge that any company successfully reaching a significant milestone in its journey can only do so thanks to the exceptional teams working together across the world and behind the scenes. We will be celebrating our anniversary by recognising our remarkable achievements
over the last 50 years. We will also honour our longstanding and loyal clients and remember those who are sadly no longer with us, including Peter Allan who founded the company in 1975, without whom we would not be here today.” concludes Remy.
